FAQ

How old are the camp counselors and who is in charge?

Our head animators are all adults who undergo comprehensive training and possess previous childcare experience, with many studying in childcare education. There are two directors, a program coordinator, and an assistant coordinator who oversee the camp in Pointe-Claire and Montreal. Additionally, junior animators (ages 16+) work alongside the head animators. All staff are First Aid & CPR certified.

How many kids are there total, and are they split into groups? How many kids are in each group? What’s the ratio of kids to counselors?

The number of campers varies based on registration and per week. Our West Island camp accommodates 15 to 30 campers per week, while our NDG camp has had over 60 campers per week. Campers are grouped based on the week’s attendance, and group sizes are adjusted accordingly. We adhere to government guidelines for staff-to-children ratios, typically ranging from 8 to 10 campers per animator.

If I select a 4-week session, does it have to be the first or last 4 weeks, or could I select 4 different weeks throughout the summer?

The 4-week rate applies per session, which is divided between the first and second halves of the summer (dates provided). Campers can select either of the sessions indicated in the form.

How does the programming work at the Pointe-Claire location? Do we choose specialties for our kid, or does the whole camp have the same activity every day?

Programming is predetermined based on the ages of campers each week. We alternate between coding and robotics weekly, while all other activities remain consistent. All animators are trained in each specialty offered.

Who leads the Lego, coding, and robotics parts of camp?

Our animators lead these activities. All our animators are trained in all specialties offered.

How is the day split up between STEM, sports, art, games, etc., at the Pointe-Claire location?

The daily schedule varies each year, but last year, we conducted Lego in the morning and coding/robotics in the afternoon, interspersed with arts, games, and sports activities. Afternoon sessions often include water activities, and we visit the splash park.

How do we commute for field trips?

For field trips, we utilize city buses or a private STM shuttle bus. A coordinator or assistant coordinator is always present for extra supervision.

Are tax receipts provided?

Yes! RL24’s are issued by the deadline in 2025 on the Qidigo platform (where you create your account and register). Please note that we require your child(ren)’s date of birth and the parent’s information and SIN number.

What does my child need to bring? Is lunch included?

Lunch is not included unless we specify that we will be offering a special lunch. Campers need: a refillable water bottle, snacks, lunch, running shoes, flip flops or crocs for water activities, bathing suit, towel, hat, sunblock, extra clothes, medical items (advise us), and a sweater. Toys and phones are NOT permitted.

What is your cancellation policy?

Our cancellation policy is governed by the Consumer Protection Act (Quebec).

  • You may cancel your child’s registration at any time before or during camp by submitting a written notice (email is accepted). The cancellation takes effect when the notice is received.
  • Upon cancellation, the following may be deducted from any refund:
    • The value of services already rendered (any weeks started or completed)
    • A non-refundable administrative fee of $40 per registered week
    • The value of any discounts or promotions applied

In addition, a cancellation indemnity may be charged, equal to the lesser of:

  • 10% of the value of services not yet provided, or
  • $50

Refunds are calculated based on the total paid minus the applicable deductions above.

Any refund or credit will be processed within 10 business days following receipt of a written cancellation request.
